My family and I were in Rome May 2018, where we visited the Pantheon. I took many pictures inside the Pantheon. When I came home and studied the photographs I took with my cellphone, I discovered in a photo of my family a man in the background, who seemed to have a divine encounter. This grabbed me, and I knew the call to paint this man, who I didn't know who was, which is why I called him The Pantheon man– Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God. (Matthew 5:8 ASV). The resolution was not very good in the photo, but I took the subject with me to a workshop for Natalie Holland late summer the same year, where I received good guidance.
