Ricardo do Rosario

I'm Ricardo do Rosário, a Brazilian artist artist who has been passionate about art since I was a child. I am self-taught in artistic drawing, I took an oil painting course in 2020 at Panorama Escola de Artes, where I learned the alla prima style, which I still use today. I also use techniques such as digital painting, oil pastel, Posca pen, acrylic, watercolor and mixed, in addition to always experimenting with new techniques and media for my work. My main references are the impressionist movement and graffiti. I portray what I see and what I feel, always with the aim of creating something new. I have participated in several national and international exhibitions, with emphasis on the International Exhibition While We Wait - Rooted, at the Vacant Museum, United States and The MEAM Hall, at the European Museum of Modern Art, in Barcelona. I also have publications in national and international books and magazines. I won national and international awards.
My main theme in my works is the contrast between nature and human
being. Nature is featured in practically all of my works, from a clearer form to allusive forms. I try to bring to the viewer the need for human beings to change in the face of nature, source of everything we have. In my works, you can find a loose and unique style, with striking brushstrokes, which shows a little of my restlessness. I don't make drawings before I paint, just a sketch with my own paint, which gives more originality to my works.
