Christophe Moreau

My work is autobiographical, it is inspired by my daily life, my experiences, my questions; It is the reflection of these moments captured that remain frozen in my memory. Through my encounters, I sometimes become the vehicle for expressing the emotions of others that I try to transcribe as well as possible in my drawings. My works become then the fruit of sharing. When the image is in memory, everything consists then to best transcribe the atmosphere that emanates from the moment: remove certain contours, interpret the light to keep only the essential. Because in the end the whole issue is here, to get as close as possible close to the original emotion. Research based on elements that may seem contradictory: where my technique consists in a realistic rendering, or at least to transcribe a certain reality, it must express the impalpable.
